The Gauge House, with locations in Lafayette, LA; Houma, LA; and Baton Rouge, LA; is a value-added distributor of measurement and instrumentation equipment. The company supplies leading brands of pressure and temperature gauges, fittings, valves, tubing and associated products and services such as assembly, calibration, certification and testing. The Gauge House has a 35-year history of supporting customers throughout the United States and internationally.
The Gauge House, headquartered in Lafayette, LA, is looking for a leader to join our team and assist in the start-up and growth of our newest location in Baton Rouge, LA. This is a hybrid position, executing daily operations while serving as part of a collaborative sales team. The candidate for this position must be an adaptable, energetic, proven, and positive leader with a grasp on the industrial community that provides a vision to make a lasting impact on an ambitious & growing organization.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Develop & implement strategies for customer relationship and retention as well as market share growth
· Utilizing a solutions-based sales strategy, providing customers with technical data and product specifications.
· Sourcing new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails
· Developing existing accounts by checking the customer’s buying history; suggesting new and related products.
· Keeping up with product and service information and updates.
· Staying informed about competing products and services.
· Managing and executing shipping, receiving, and delivery responsibilities.
· Performing and documenting calibration and repair services on pressure instruments.
Qualifications / Skills:
· 1 Year in industrial sales is preferred.
· Customer Service skills, Strong phone presence.
· Communication Proficiency- Strong listening skills, Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
· Teamwork / Teambuilding– Building relationships with co-workers & customers.
· Positive attitude, exemplary attendance, and reliable team member.
Salary: Starting compensation of $75k for experienced candidates. Additional future opportunities available upon the growth of the location and company as a whole.
Other compensation: Vacation and holiday pay, health plan (100% for employee and 80% coverage for dependent), 401K (3% safe harbor)
