Role and Company

Data Company One Inc (DC1) seeks a skilled sales and marketing professional to join our team and drive revenue of its cutting-edge solutions in the North American market (B2B sales). Specializing in data, analytics, and sustainability/ESG, DC1 focuses on sales and business development to a range of industries and clients. The ideal candidate will leverage existing DC1 solutions to cultivate new opportunities, explore untapped markets and clients, and help DC1 grow and meet client needs. Networking, research, proficient communication, company promotion, and transactional skills are a given for the role.


Desired Skills and Experience

We are seeking a B.A./B.S.+ graduate with a minimum of 2 years of sales experience, preferably with a background in SAAS or data/tech. The ideal candidate will possess excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, and a team-oriented mindset. They should be an excellent networker, self-motivated, proactive, excellent in communication, and technologically nimble. This role is critical to our company’s success, and the individual will quickly become an integral part of our team. Commercial expertise and a network in the Virginia, Richmond and Southeast business communities is highly desired.

Day to day responsibilities and tasks for the role:

·      Contact new and existing clients

·      Research new customers and markets, B2B

·      Become an expert in DC1 solutions and markets

·      Develop markets and assist in marketing new DC1 solutions

·      Create a book of business

·      Negotiate contracts

·      Maintain CRM, customer database

·      Present and promote the company

·      Attend conferences and events

·      Initiate customer trials


Education/Experience:

·      Bachelor’s degree (or higher)

·      2-7+ years in sales and marketing

·      Experience in a fast-paced work environment

·      Software development, SAAS, technology
