Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated System Administrator to join our dynamic IT team in Fort Lauderdale, FL. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing and maintaining IT infrastructure, ensuring the smooth operation of our systems, and supporting a range of technologies.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, Group Policy, and DNS.
  • Administer virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V.
  • Support and maintain cloud-based environments, particularly Microsoft Azure and Office 365.
  • Configure and manage network equipment, including Cisco Meraki, WatchGuard, or Sophos firewalls, routers, and switches.
  • Monitor and manage system performance, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery.
  • Implement and maintain backup solutions, using tools such as Veeam or Acronis.
  • Perform regular security updates and patches across systems.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access control in accordance with company policies.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and other IT staff.
  • Document system configurations, procedures, and policies.


Required Skills and Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in system administration or a related role.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Windows Server and Active Directory.
  • Proficiency in virtualization technologies like VMware or Hyper-V.
  • Hands-on experience with networking concepts and equipment, including VLANs and VPNs.
  • Familiarity with cloud services, especially Microsoft Azure and Office 365.
  • Knowledge of security best practices, including firewalls, antivirus, and IDS/IPS solutions.
  • Experience with backup and disaster recovery tools such as Veeam or Acronis.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, or VMware Certified Professional (VCP) are a plus.
