We are a single doctor, small animal veterinary practice. Our mission is to provide high quality veterinary care to improve the quality of life for our client’s pets. We do everything possible to ensure that our patients live long and healthy lives.

We are seeking a new Veterinary Assistant to join our team. Applicants should possess exceptional communication skills, be highly motivated and driven, able to multitask and stay organized, have good attention to detail, dependable, and dedicated to our mission.

Responsibilities Include, But Not Limited To

  • Client communication and education
  • Collecting patient history and vital signs
  • Performing in house laboratory tests
  • Filling prescriptions
  • Restraining patients for exams and procedures
  • Cleaning and disinfecting of common areas
  • Cleaning of patients and housing areas
  • Assisting with radiographs
  • Obtaining samples and perform appropriate prep, testing, and/or submission
  • Unpacking inventory and restocking
  • Various maintenance and janitorial duties

Veterinary Assistan Qualifications And Skills

This position requires an individual who has a strong disire to work with animals, to help people, and to have a team mentality to succeed. Our ideal candidate is patient, respectful, resilient, teachable, self-aware, and honest. We would prefer 1-3 years of relevant experience, but not required, as well as the following credentials/skills:

  • High School or GED
  • Interpersonal Skills
  • Multitasking
  • Animal Restraint Skills
  • Communication Skills

Client education is very important to us. We take our time, listen to our clients and explain our diagnostics and treatment plans. Our business is expanding and we are in need of additional reliable, efficient, patient staff members .

Benefits

Salary range for this position is $11.00 - $16.00 per hour depending on experience. We offer the following benefits after probationary period:
