We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our team at Sand Lake Animal Clinic. As a Veterinary Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients and supporting our veterinary team in delivering high-quality medical services.
Key Responsibilities- Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with appointments, procedures, and patient care.
- Prepare patients for surgery and minor procedures, and assist with surgical and diagnostic tests.
- Restrain animals safely and humanely, and obtain accurate vital signs and medical histories.
- Collect and prepare laboratory samples, and maintain medical equipment and supplies.
- Provide excellent client communication and customer service, and maintain accurate records and reports.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Knowledge of medical procedures and animal handling.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
