Sales Operations Manager

As a Sales Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing all aspects of mortgage originations supporting a high producing Branch Manager. You will be responsible for managing inbound applications, reviewing and structuring loan options, managing efficient processes, and fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork. This role requires strong leadership skills, deep knowledge of mortgage programs, and the ability to drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

  1. Loan Origination/Structure: Assist clients by cultivating relationships with borrowers, assessing their financial needs, and guiding them through the loan application and approval process.
  2. Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate and improve mortgage operations processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and customer experience.
  3. Quality Control: Implement quality control measures to maintain the highest standards of loan quality and accuracy throughout the mortgage origination and servicing process.
  4. Vendor Management: Engage with third-party service providers, including appraisal management companies, title companies, and mortgage insurance providers for loan related solutions.
  5. Performance Monitoring: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track operational performance and productivity, and take corrective actions as needed to meet targets.
  6. Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate operational risks related to mortgage lending activities, including fraud, compliance violations, and operational errors.
  7. Communication and Collaboration: Foster open communication and collaboration with other departments, such as sales, underwriting, and servicing, to ensure alignment of goals and objectives.
  8. Compliance Management: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures governing mortgage lending, including but not limited to TRID, RESPA, and HMDA.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field preferred but not required based on experience.
  • NMLS state license required - TX
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in mortgage operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • In-depth knowledge of mortgage lending regulations, underwriting guidelines, and industry best practices.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team towards common goals.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external relationships.
  • Proficiency in mortgage origination systems and other relevant software applications.
