As a Payroll Tax Analyst at our client, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate and timely management of payroll tax-related activities. You will be responsible for analyzing payroll data, preparing and filing payroll tax returns, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations. Your expertise will support their finance and HR teams in maintaining precise financial records and delivering seamless payroll services.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Analyze and review payroll data to ensure accuracy and compliance with tax regulations.
  • Prepare and file payroll tax returns for federal, state, and local jurisdictions.
  • Monitor and interpret changes in payroll tax laws and regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Collaborate with the finance and HR teams to resolve payroll tax issues and discrepancies.
  • Conduct regular audits of payroll tax processes and records to identify and address potential errors.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of payroll tax policies and procedures.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices and trends in payroll tax management.
  • Provide support during payroll tax audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities.
  • Generate and analyze payroll tax reports to support financial planning and decision-making.
  • Assist in special projects and initiatives related to payroll tax compliance and optimization.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Payroll Tax Analyst or similar role, preferably in the financial services industry.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll tax regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in payroll software and tax filing systems.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data analysis and reporting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or similar certification is a plus.
