Role Overview:
The Supply Chain Procurement Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting the implementation of key legislative requirements within the nuclear sector. This position involves a variety of responsibilities aimed at ensuring compliance and optimizing procurement processes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Engage with suppliers to communicate and negotiate pricing adjustments related to existing contracts and new agreements.
• Provide ongoing education to internal stakeholders regarding applicable legislative requirements impacting procurement activities.
• Review and validate new contracts and purchase orders to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
• Collaborate with the Supply Chain program lead and tax professionals to address inquiries related to procurement legislation.
• Ensure suppliers submit compliant payroll documentation and assist in resolving any discrepancies related to wage requirements.
• Complete necessary training and guides to perform procurement tasks independently.
• Manage the procurement of complex services and materials, including conducting bid events and negotiating favorable terms with suppliers.
• Analyze bid responses, highlight significant differences, and provide recommendations for supplier selection based on established criteria.
• Resolve billing and shipment discrepancies effectively.
• Achieve cost savings through strategic negotiations and consolidation of procurement requests.
• Ensure all procurement activities align with corporate policies and standards.
• Maintain awareness of market conditions and supplier capabilities to inform procurement strategies.
Qualifications:
- Experience in managing RFP processes and bid events.
- Proven ability to conduct comprehensive evaluations of supplier proposals.
- Strong analytical skills to assess complex bid responses and identify key differences.
- Demonstrated experience in negotiating supplier terms and conditions.
- Ability to foster relationships with key suppliers and collaborate with internal teams.
