LHH is seeking a Logistics/Procurement Associate in Kennesaw, GA. You will be responsible for procuring, maintaining, calibrating, and monitoring all calibration equipment and supplies essential for our service department's seamless operations. Additionally, you will specify required tools and calibration adaptors, and ensure their design and procurement when necessary. You will provide crucial support to service engineers and collaborate closely with the scheduling team to improve gear efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Furthermore, you will play a key role in assessing and optimizing the existing gear inventory in terms of quantities, additional requirements, efficiency, and handling processes.


Major Areas of Accountability:

  • Equipment Management: Acquire, maintain, and oversee the calibration equipment and supplies necessary for the service department's daily operations.
  • Ensure that all equipment is properly calibrated, in good working condition, and readily available for use.
  • Track equipment usage, maintenance schedules, and calibration cycles.
  • Specify the service tools and calibration adaptors required to perform calibrations and service effectively.
  • Design and collaborate on the procurement of custom tools or adaptors as necessary to meet specific calibration needs.
  • Service Engineer Support: Provide essential support to service engineers, addressing their equipment needs and ensuring that they have the necessary tools and resources for their work.
  • Collaborate closely with the scheduling team to enhance gear efficiency, creating an efficient schedule that maximizes service engineer productivity and responsiveness to customer needs.
  • Continuously evaluate the existing gear inventory to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Assess quantities, additional needs, equipment efficiencies, and handling methods to optimize gear inventory and operations.
  • Ensure that calibration gear is sent out for calibration when due.
  • Miscellaneous: Undertake other duties as assigned or required.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Technical Management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years in a technical support or coordination role, preferably in a service or calibration environment.
  • Understanding of calibration processes, tools, and equipment, with hands-on experience in managing and maintaining such equipment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of calibration equipment, tools, and maintenance procedures.
  • Ability to identify issues with equipment, develop solutions, and implement improvements effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with service engineers, the scheduling team, and other stakeholders.
  • Software Skills: Proficiency in standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite) and experience with inventory management or asset tracking software.
