SUMMARY:

Serves as primary resource for team members.Responsibilities include maintaining and enhancing operations by coaching, instructing and coordinating activities for production team members to achieve desired line metrics. Trains new people in quality, safety, and environmental work instructions and provides feedback on their performance.

Proven ability to effectively lead in an operational environment.

Is a working leader assigned to plating, polishing, assembly, coating or other production areas.

Instructs and coordinates the activities and job assignments of direct report team members.

Implements scheduling sequence for team members.

Maintain time and production documentation.

Responsible for communication among team members including turnover meetings and on-going communication.

Responsible for coordinating the training and development (i.e. OJT, and other necessary training).

Monitors and directs performance of all operators to continually develop skills and safe work habits.

Manges performance through training, coaching, counseling and conducting performance reviews.

Engages and all people follow established quality procedures for the company.

Ensures team participation and compliance with safety (safety rules, training, behavioral based safety observations) and environmental requirements.

Assesses production to identify productivity and process improvement.

Provides leadership with productivity initiatives – Lean/BCI for the area.

Participates in the selection and interviewing of new team members.

Assists with special projects when needed.

Helps enforce and reinforce company policies and practices.

Responsible for all appropriate paperwork.

Approximately 75% of the time will be on the factory floor.

Proper disposal of waste such as recyclables, standard waste, hazardous waste, etc. is expected.

Could potentially encounter hazardous chemicals.

Any other tasks as required fulfilling Lincoln Industries' Beliefs and Drivers.


ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE:

Reports to: General Manager

Direct Reports: Non-Exempt Production People


QUALIFICATIONS:The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be substituted for the expected levels of education and experience required.


Education and/or Experience

Expected: High School diploma required.

Expected: Minimum of 3 years of direct supervision/leadership experience.

Preferred: Experience and application in Continuous Improvement.

Preferred: Bilingual in Spanish


Other Skills:

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
