Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Civil Designer to join our dynamic team in Modesto. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in civil engineering design, including the preparation of plans, specifications, and cost estimates for various civil engineering projects. The Civil Designer will work closely with project managers, engineers, and other design professionals to deliver high-quality design solutions that meet client needs and industry standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed civil engineering designs, drawings, and plans using CAD software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, etc.).
  • Develop site layout, grading, drainage, utility, and roadway plans.
  • Perform calculations for stormwater management, grading, and earthwork quantities.
  • Assist in the preparation of construction documents, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure project deliverables are completed on time and within budget.
  • Review and interpret project plans, specifications, and other documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with design standards.
  • Conduct site visits and field investigations to gather data and assess project requirements.
  • Assist in obtaining necessary permits and approvals from local, state, and federal agencies.
  • Stay current with industry trends, standards, and best practices to continually improve design quality and efficiency.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1-7 years of experience in civil engineering design.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, including AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
  • Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, standards, and practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
  • Familiarity with local, state, and federal regulations and permitting processes.
