Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Professional Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team in Modesto. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in civil engineering design and project management, with the ability to oversee and coordinate all aspects of civil engineering projects from inception to completion. The Professional Civil Engineer will work closely with clients, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure project success and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management of civil engineering projects, including subdivision site development, commercial, industrial & multi-family land use, roadway design, stormwater management, and utility infrastructure.
  • Prepare and review engineering plans, specifications, reports, and cost estimates.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Conduct site visits and field investigations to gather data, assess project requirements, and monitor construction progress.
  • Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, contractors, and other stakeholders to obtain necessary permits and approvals.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and design staff.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and standards.
  • Stay current with industry trends, standards, and best practices to continually improve design quality and efficiency.
  • Represent at client meetings, public hearings, and professional conferences.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license, or ability to get California PE license within 1 year.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in civil engineering design and project management.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, including AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
  • Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, standards, and practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with clients, regulatory agencies, and team members.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
  • Valid drivers license and ability to conduct site visits as needed.
