We’re looking for a Principal Electrical Design Engineer to join our team and help us grow.  As part our team, you will lead the design, development, and verification of high-performance  T&M products. You will drive requirements definition, simulation, analysis, design, test and production release of the complex board-level analog and digital circuitry. Your responsibilities span technical leadership as well as detailed design and test activities, including PCB design, FPGA coding, schematic capture, design reviews, prototyping, and engineering test and debug.

Skills and Qualifications

·       Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Physics or related subject areas

·       10+ years proven experience developing complex PCB at GHz speeds

·       Knowledge of multi-layer PCB design, impedance control, and high-speed routing techniques.

·       Experience with analog, digital and mixed-signal circuit analysis, simulation, design, test, troubleshooting, signal integrity, power, and grounding.

·       FPGA Integration

·       Strong skills in testing, debugging, and validating hardware designs using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and protocol analyzers.

·       Experience with automated test setups and scripting.

·       Knowledge of EMI/EMC design principles and testing procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards.

·       Desire to work hands-on, both independently and with the team, throughout the development and production phases of the product

·       Knowledge of the operation of Logic Analyzers, Protocol Analyzers and Oscilloscopes

·       Expertise in the design of DDR and DisplayPort along with other industry standard busses.

·       Knowledgeable of Industry Standards and working within the standards arena in order to meet company objectives.

·       Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve complex hardware issues.

·       Excellent verbal and written communication skills for documenting designs, writing technical reports, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

·       Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and handle shifting priorities.

·       Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with the latest advancements in hardware design and technology.

·       Good presentation and public skills to help market our products to very technical customers


Preferred Qualifications

Experience in the Test and Measurements Industry

Masters Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
