Credit & Collections Manager/Coordinator

Position Summary:

Credit & Collection's Manager/Coordinator ensure that the company receives accurate payment in a timely fashion and are accountable for collecting the maximum amount of overdue funds from customers. Performing a variety of routine clerical duties in accordance with standard procedures to aid in the collection of delinquent accounts. This role maintains demographic records, prepares follow-up letters, verifies data, and resolves routine problems. Preferably has experience in a structured environment and knows what a clean AR looks like.


Primary Responsibilities:

To manage the collection of outstanding debts for our organization. Their responsibilities may include but are not limited to: 


Monitoring accounts

  • Tracking accounts receivable, ensuring accuracy, and following company policies
  • Communicating with clients
  • Contacting clients to discuss overdue payments and encourage timely payments 

Resolving issues

  • Working with partners and the billing department to resolve issues with invoices and accounts.

Analyzing collection issues

  • Researching and analyzing issues, and coordinating with others to resolve them 

Preparing reports

  • Reviewing and updating comments for reports distributed to partners, and providing accurate and timely reporting of performance metrics 

Supporting special projects

  • Assisting with special projects as needed 
  • Collection coordinators may also perform accounting functions, such as recording and collecting money due to the organization

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Advanced technological proficiencies
  • Close attention to detail
  • Excellent organization skills, not afraid to tackle, clean up, and maintain AR
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment
