A client of ours seeking a Credit Analyst to join their team in The Woodlands, Texas. This role involves assessing the creditworthiness of current and potential customers, maintaining credit files, and coordinating with other departments to ensure efficient operation. This position offers a contract-to-hire employment opportunity for a company in the oil and gas industry. Responsibilities:

• Evaluate the creditworthiness of current and potential customers using credit reporting agencies.

• Maintain and update customer credit files in the credit software.

• Coordinate with the cash applications team to ensure the correct application of wire transfers and lockbox deposits to receivables.

• Release orders within the designated ERP system.

• Assist in the completion of month-end close reporting.

• Work on special credit or treasury projects as required.

• Analyze customer credit applications for accuracy and efficiency.

• Investigate and analyze new customers' creditworthiness to establish credit limits.

• Work within the assigned collection portfolio to issue dunning notices and calls for past due invoices.

• Use your knowledge of Financial Statement Analysis and experience with credit reporting agencies such as D& B to perform these tasks.

• Proficient in using Accounting Software Systems

• Familiar with Accounts Receivable (AR) processes

• Capable of conducting Cash Flow Analysis

• Knowledgeable about Collection Processes

• Understands Credit application and approval processes

• Experienced in using JD Edwards EnterpriseOne software

• Skilled in Credit Analysis and Credit Appraisals

• Prior experience as a Credit Analyst is preferred but not necessary

• Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with team members and clients.

BA/BS degree and a minimum of 3 years credit experience in the chemical or plastics industry, and/or other related field.
