Golden Technology is seeking a dedicated and skilled Tier I IT Service Desk Technician for a contract position with our client. This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for providing top-notch customer support. As a Tier I IT Service Desk Technician, you will be the first line of support for internal and subcontractor employees, ensuring timely resolution of IT issues and efficient management of IT assets.
Responsibilities:
- Answer IT support phone calls from internal Call Center employees and subcontractors.
- Utilize ServiceNow to document phone calls, respond to tickets, and track IT assets such as laptops and monitors.
- Perform laptop hardware repairs and imaging.
- Assist office and remote workers with logging into their laptops.
- Manage equipment shipping and handling.
Top Skills Required:
- Ability to obtain a security clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree is required.
- Minimum of 2 years of technical support experience in a Microsoft Windows environment.
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Windows desktop operating systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and Active Directory.
- Technical school training and/or college coursework is required; Bachelor’s Degree or technical certification is preferred.
- Experience with VMware or equivalent virtualization technologies.
- Experience with Office 365.
- Strong preference for candidates with ServiceNow experience.
