Duration: 12 Months


Summary:

The engineer will primarily focus on compliance testing and software validation for vehicle powertrain systems, which include gasoline, diesel, hybrid, and electric vehicles. The goal is to ensure that these vehicles meet emissions and On-Board Diagnostics (OBD) standards.


Key Responsibilities:

Certification Testing: Manage large testing projects related to vehicle emissions and OBD.

Software Validation: Test and validate software for powertrain systems that will be released in the US market.

Chassis Dyno and PEMS Testing: Prepare vehicles for testing and collaborate with workshop and lab personnel.

Testing and Analysis: Perform PEMS/Dyno testing of powertrain systems, including combustion and emissions control for gasoline, diesel, and electric vehicles.

Root Cause Analysis: Identify and solve issues, collaborating with the team on countermeasures.

Project Coordination: Plan and manage emissions/OBD testing activities and projects.

Technical Reporting: Document results, analyze certification software changes, and present findings to management.


Requirements:

Detail-oriented with strong project coordination skills.

Experience in vehicle testing and a good understanding of powertrain technologies (combustion and electric).

Proficiency in data acquisition and development tools like INCA, MATLAB, and Python.

Ability to write clear technical reports for a global audience.

A Bachelor’s degree or 2-5 years of relevant experience is required.

This role is focused on ensuring vehicles comply with regulations and standards, through testing and validation processes.
