Calibration Technician

Description:


We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Level Calibration Technician with a strong background in electronics test and measurement to join our dynamic team in Santa Clara, CA. As a key player in our organization, you will be responsible for calibrating high-level and unique test and measurement instrumentation while providing exceptional service to our customers.


In this role, you will:

- Perform calibrations on advanced and unique test and measurement equipment.

- Apply your troubleshooting, repair, and calibration expertise to work on specialized equipment.

- Interact directly with customers to assess their needs related to traceability, adequacy of standards, and test procedures, as well as handling items requiring repair or limited calibration.

- Ensure timely and acceptable preventative maintenance of laboratory equipment.

- Manage workload distribution for technicians when the Laboratory Manager is unavailable.

- Conduct daily inspections of incoming equipment to verify accessories and manuals, identify malfunctions, and update equipment status as needed.


Requirements:

- Military calibration training and work experience (PMEL or TMDE) OR an Associate’s Degree in a technical field OR equivalent work experience.

- At least 5 years of experience calibrating test and measurement equipment in a commercial or military calibration laboratory.

- Proficiency in calibrating various disciplines of test and measurement equipment, including electrical/electronics and DC/low frequency.

- Prior experience with network analyzers.

- Strong understanding of microwave and RF principles.

- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to multitask effectively.


Preferred Experience:

- Calibration of EMI receivers, power sensors, LISN, and CDN.

- Familiarity with test codes such as the IEC-61000 series.
