Job Summary

PSC Biotech Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Calibration Technician to join our team. As a Calibration Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine calibration and testing activities on a wide range of equipment to ensure compliance with industry standards and company specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform hands-on calibration of a wide range of equipment and instruments to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Calibrate and manage metrology standards per ANSI/NCSL Z540-1 and ANSI/ISO-17025.
  • Ability to write routine reports and interpret documents such as instructions, manuals, safety rules.
  • Disassemble instruments and equipment, inspecting components for defects.
  • Ensure all calibration standards are properly calibrated and certified.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed calibration records and maintenance documentation.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize equipment downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve calibration-related issues in collaboration with maintenance and engineering teams.
  • Measure parts for conformity with specifications.
  • Align, repair, replace, and balance components and circuitry.
  • Devise formulas to solve problems related to measurements and calibrations.
  • Execute engineering and calibration portions of equipment qualifications.
  • Assist in specifying instrumentation and standards.
  • Support drafting and development of new and revised SOPs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize calibration needs.
  • Coordinate calibration schedules, ensuring timely execution and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of calibration procedures and protocols.

Requirements

  • Relevant certification, degree, or diploma in technical field.
  • 3-5 years of proven calibration experience in the life science industry.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and calibration standards.
  • Strong knowledge of various metrology principles and practices, as well as calibration/instrument repair techniques.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong technical aptitude and mechanically inclined.
  • Proficient in using calibration software and equipment.
  • Knowledge of cGMP manufacturing.
  • Understanding of ANSI/NCSL Z540-1 and ANSI/ISO-17025.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent documentation skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
