Venture Capital Investment Analyst

The Investment Analyst will be an integral member of our investment team and will support deal execution, sourcing, diligence, analysis, research, and modeling. Additional responsibilities include operational and administrative tasks. We are seeking self-starters with an interest in venture capital and financial markets, a passion for technology, and an eagerness to learn. Strong analytical skills, relatable prior work experience and the ability to think critically and creatively are paramount. Knowledge of financial modeling and an understanding of financial statements is required. The Analyst role will provide an opportunity for learning, hands-on mentoring and growth in a dynamic team environment.  As part of the recruiting process, candidates will be evaluated on their verbal, written and analytical skills. The position is full time and on site at our Palo Alto, California office. Compensation will consist of a base salary and a performance-based bonus.

Responsibilities

-Support all phases of deal sourcing and execution

-Perform due diligence on venture-backed, pre-IPO technology companies

-Prepare and maintain valuation and financial models

-Create investment memos and other presentation materials

-Maintain internal deal and investor databases

-Create analyses on our portfolio and the broader market

-Work on projects in operations, fundraising, marketing and events

Qualifications

-1 to 3 years investment banking work experience

-Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in finance or technology 3.5 min GPA

-Ability to work independently

-Analytical, detail-oriented, proactive, curious and organized

-Experience building valuation models and analyzing financial statements

-Passion for technology and financial markets

-Strong writing, communication and interpersonal skills

-Proficiency with powerpoint, excel and the google workspace

-Authorized to work permanently in the U.S.
