Director of Corporate Venture Capital

We are seeking a seasoned investment professional to lead our Corporate Venture Capital (CVC) efforts. As a Director of CVC, you will be responsible for identifying and evaluating investment opportunities, building relationships with entrepreneurs and other stakeholders, and contributing to the growth and strategy of our CVC practice.

Key Responsibilities:
  • End-to-end management of deal sourcing, due diligence, closing, and portfolio support
  • Strategy development and daily operations for CVC and LP-relations initiatives
  • Participation in corporate innovation and business development activities
  • Collaboration on CVC business strategy, including fundraising and investment thesis development
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree (STEM preferred), MBA strongly preferred
  • 6-8 years of relevant experience, including 2-3 years in investment banking or strategy consulting
  • 1-2 years of experience in tech or F500 companies, or projects involving Japanese corporations
  • Strong analytical, financial modeling, presentation, and communication skills
  • Fluency in Japanese and English required
  • Experience in mobility, manufacturing, media, or SaaS sectors is a plus
  • A strong network within the startup ecosystem is valued
  • Team player with humility, creativity, and emotional intelligence
