Position Summary

The Assistant Corporate Controller will play a key role in supporting the Corporate Controller in overseeing the company's financial operations and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations. This position requires strong technical accounting knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.


Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation and review of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in accordance with GAAP and company policies.

Internal Controls: Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.

Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with various departments to develop annual budgets and forecasts, and monitor performance against budgeted targets.

Audit Coordination: Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audits, provide necessary documentation, and address audit findings in a timely manner.

Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax regulations, statutory requirements, and other financial obligations.

Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes, enhance efficiency, and strengthen internal controls.

Team Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to finance team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification is required.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance roles, with a focus on financial reporting and analysis.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and financial systems.
  • Experience with ERP systems and proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and influence stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities and a track record of successfully managing teams or projects.
