Overview:

The Director of Communications, reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, is responsible for developing a cohesive communications strategy for the brand and overseeing the communications across all channels: public relations, social media, and content creation -copy-, maintaining the brand integrity and maximizing the opportunities across different platforms, reinforcing the brand vision to drive business objectives.



Position Responsibilities


  • In partnership with the Creative Director, to develop and implement communication campaigns in all platforms to ensure cohesive messaging and to accelerate the social footprint and impact for the brand, with clear KPIs and measurements.


  • Develop and overview the execution of the PR and communications strategy for the brand, driving incremental press & brand awareness across all media channels through ideating and executing meaningful PR campaigns, growing & securing editorial coverage in all available and appropriate forms of national, regional, trade, beauty & overall media.


  • Develop and overview the planning and execution of the social media vision to drive brand discovery and customer engagement via social media channels and team partnerships. Including overview of the social media calendar, approval of social media posts, Influencer strategies and paid Social, reporting and Digital Programming.
  • Overview the copy creation and content and brand storytelling agenda in partnership with the Brand’s Creative Director.


  • Concept and deliver an effective event strategy around key initiatives that may include new products, collections, or brand launches, branded events, press previews.


  • Manage and responds to media inquiries; draft and edit press releases, overseeing the writing and distribution of press kits and branded pitch e-blasts.


  • Secures placement in print, digital, film, and social, overseeing the submission nominations for brand and product awards.


  • Overview the advertising buys for print and digital media, social media, and branded content.


  • People Management: Recruit, manage and develop the PR, Communications and Content teams. Ensure the team is engage, committed and receiving an opportunity to develop new knowledge, skills, and ability


  • Forest and manage the financial budgets for the PR, Communications and Content seeking opportunities for cost savings in partnership with finance business partner


  • Oversees tracking and compilation press coverage for both domestic and international markets and distribute internally to company and externally to retailers and partners.


  • Tracks the overall luxury retail landscape, competitive environment, and consumer trends to ensure our brand remains at the forefront of innovation in the category.




Position Qualifications

  • Minimum 8 years Public Relations and Social Media experience
  • Proactive, creative thinking with a keen ability to execute efficiently; excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Creative, entrepreneurial and results driven
  • Positive and team oriented
  • Luxury experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree.
