About the Role:


We are seeking a qualified and experienced Risk and Compliance Officer to join Windcave’s team in Phoenix, Arizona 85006.


The role reports into the Team Lead - Risk and Compliance in New Zealand and will effectively liaise with several departments within the business.

We currently follow a hybrid policy with two work-from-home days.


Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:


  • Conducting risk data analysis, generate compliance reports, and identify trends that require corrective actions;
  • Ownership of Windcave’s North American AML Program;
  • Creating and undertaking Compliance & AML training with relevant Windcave staff;
  • Staying on top of new regulations and technologies;
  • Policy enforcement, audit planning, and resolution of compliance issues;
  • Assessing risks, associated controls and their effectiveness. Driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations;
  • PCI DSS reporting to schemes and sponsors;
  • Supporting the identification and escalation of problems or issues that arise, driving actions to address the root causes that lead to compliance risk issues.


About You:


As a proactive team-contributor with the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, you will demonstrate reliability and a can-do attitude. Your excellent interpersonal and communication skills will help you liaise with multiple departments for achievement of desired outcomes.


In addition, you will also have:


  • Qualification: Bachelor's degree in business, legal, or a related field
  • Three or more years’ experience in a similar role
  • Deep understanding of regulatory requirements impacting last mile delivery and customer claims
  • Proficient in using data analysis tools to monitor compliance and drive continuous improvement
  • Excellent in planning and time management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • High level of professionalism, dedication and flexibility
  • Strong in using MS Office, with the ability to pick up new systems
  • The confidence to build and foster strong relationships


Preferred skills/experience:


  • Experience in the payments industry
  • Exposure to PCI DSS
  • Experience using Jira, Confluence, and SharePoint is a bonus


Remuneration will be commensurate to expectation and industry standards.
