LOGISTICS ASSOCIATE

Pivotal Partners, LLP is a global design, development & sourcing company servicing both national brands and retailers directly. We have the honor of working with several of the greatest brands and strongest retailers in the Sporting goods industry.


The Logistics Associate provides administrative support to the Logistics Manager and helps them with the company’s flow of goods. From preparation to delivery, via coordination, he or she ensures that the various stages of the logistics process run smoothly. This professional will aide and ensure customer orders are processed for delivery to within the required timeframe.

-         Works closely with internal Production team to determine what orders are incoming, prepare load documentation and know customer routing processes. 

-         Read shipping reports and know readily available orders and their start ship dates.

-         Aides in routing orders through Customers vendor portals or directly through customer logistics teams.

-         Provides load details to freight agencies to determine best shipping method(s) and freight rates for domestic moves Example: Replenishment and PDQ freight moves.

-         Advises replenishment warehouses and PDQ packaging locations of incoming goods and shares BOL’s or any other identifying information. 

-         Confirms all freight invoices are correct, per original freight quotes received and logs them internally in freight log.

-         Communicates with factory to advise total cost and ask for credits due to PDQ or replenishment freight moves.

-         Research, investigate, and correct problematic invoices and communicate resolution with related parties.

-         Communicates with retailer logistics and internal 3PL warehouse to hand off BOL’s, confirm appointment pick up times and confirm actual freight companies are correct at time of pick up.

-         Responsible for the Carton label issuance process and all its related operations.  

-         Works with production team to issue and send shipment labels for all in-house bulk orders using internal PLM software, Exenta from Aptean to corresponding factory, in a timely manner.



-         Must have the ability to work on their own, in a fast-paced environment.

-         Able to self-determine priorities in a workday.

-         Must have problem solving and decision-making skills.

-         Possesses great communication skills – verbal and written.

-         Must be extremely organized, as it pertains to multi-tasking and assuring all projects are completed.

-         Detailed, accurate data capturing and communication.



-         The job is a full time, in office role.

-         Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Domestic Logistics or Import production role.

-         Strong Microsoft family of software experience.

-         Past PLM software experience a plus.

-         Requires minimal travel as appropriate.
