Barrington James Recruitment has teamed up with a prominent provider of biomedical data analysis software and bioinformatics applications serving the life sciences and healthcare sectors. The company actively manages and supports over 80 petabytes of intricate genomic, multi-omic, and clinical datasets through collaborations with major biobanks, leading pharmaceutical firms, clinical diagnostic entities, academic research institutions, and governmental organizations.


We are presently seeking a Demand Generation Director, Pharma to spearhead the strategy and execution of demand generation initiatives within our pharmaceutical business unit. This role is remote, with a preference for candidates in the East Coast time zone.


The ideal candidate possesses comprehensive experience in strategic enterprise B2B demand generation strategy, tactics, and coordination, with a strong background in the life sciences industry, particularly marketing to pharmaceutical companies.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective demand generation strategies and tactics to drive lead generation, customer acquisition, growth, and revenue.
  • Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive Account-Based Marketing (ABM) strategy targeting pharmaceutical decision-makers, aiming to increase top-of-funnel awareness and drive engagement and conversion throughout the sales funnel.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to oversee integrated marketing programs and campaigns across various channels, emphasizing qualified lead generation and nurturing.
  • Partner closely with internal teams to ensure alignment and understanding of ABM strategies and campaigns for success.
  • Work closely with the Inside Sales team to enhance MQL conversion rates and boost top-of-funnel pipeline.
  • Contribute to achieving company goals related to ARR, new customer acquisition, and growth.
  • Manage the demand generation budget efficiently to maximize growth efficiency and ROI on a global scale, including financial modeling of campaigns.
  • Analyze data and monitor marketing performance to make data-driven decisions and optimize marketing efforts.
  • Identify relevant marketing data sources and options for data access, extraction, integration, and orchestration to leverage data strategically in campaigns.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum 8 years of marketing experience, with at least 6 years in a demand generation or related leadership role.
  • Direct experience in marketing to pharmaceutical, biotech, and related organizations.
  • Proven expertise in effective demand generation campaigns, multi-channel management, and reporting.
  • Fluency in digital marketing and paid media, with a strong track record in campaign management.
  • Innovative mindset with a drive to enact change and make a meaningful impact.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to lead a team and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in marketing technologies such as HubSpot, Qualified, ZoomInfo, and Salesforce, with experience in optimizing the marketing tech stack for optimal results.
