Key Responsibilities
Market Expansion and Strategy
- Develop and implement a strategic business development plan focused on growing our FTL services in key markets.
- Identify and target new business opportunities by researching market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes in the FTL sector.
- Build and manage a robust pipeline of potential clients, focusing on industries with high demand for FTL services.
Sales and Revenue Growth
- Lead the sales process from prospecting to closing deals, ensuring the achievement of sales targets and revenue growth.
- Develop and present customized FTL logistics solutions that meet the specific needs of clients, ensuring long-term business relationships.
- Negotiate and secure contracts with clients, ensuring favorable terms that align with company objectives.
Client Relationship Management
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients, acting as their primary point of contact for FTL services.
- Provide ongoing support to clients, addressing their logistics needs and resolving any issues that arise.
- Conduct regular reviews with clients to ensure satisfaction and identify opportunities for additional services.
Collaboration and Coordination
- Work closely with internal teams, including operations, customer service, and finance, to ensure seamless delivery of FTL services.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional strategies and materials that effectively communicate the benefits of our FTL services.
- Provide feedback to the operations team to optimize service offerings and improve customer satisfaction.
Reporting and Analysis
- Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to sales performance, client acquisition, and market penetration.
- Analyze sales data to identify trends, forecast future sales, and make informed decisions to drive business growth.
- Provide regular updates to senior management on business development activities, market conditions, and potential risks.
Qualifications and Experience
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. An advanced degree is a plus.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development or sales within the FTL logistics industry.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth in the FTL sector.
- Experience in negotiating and securing large-scale logistics contracts.
- Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of FTL logistics, transportation management, and supply chain operations.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
