The Program Manager will support the execution of programs through all stages, from product development and production to sustainment in the field. The role requires planning, developing, and analyzing information necessary to support program leadership decisions regarding the product and business.

The role requires independent judgment and considerable creativity to solve unique execution and business opportunities and excellent organization skills to document program decisions regarding product content and strategies.


Responsibilities:

  • Build and grow a high performing team of project managers, provide clear direction and support to drive success.
  • Develop and implement program strategies aligned to organizational goals.
  • Lead projects from requirements definition through deployment, identifying schedules, scopes, budget estimations, and implementation plans, including risk mitigation.
  • Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure that projects adhere to scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and PMO ops to develop communication channels including dashboards and presentations.
  • Foster collaboration between cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and seamless execution of program plans.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with relevant client stakeholders, providing day-to-day contact on program status and changes.
  • Lead process creation and documentation for program-related activities.
  • Communicate program outcomes and/or risks to the appropriate management channels and escalate issues, as necessary, according to program work plan.
  • Remain up to date on industry trends, competitor intelligence, and market research.


Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 4 years of program/project management experience and 3 years of leadership experience; or master’s degree with a minimum of 2 years program/project management experience and 3 years of leadership experience; or High school diploma or equivalent and 8 years of relevant program/project management experience with 3 years of leadership experience
  • Experience managing Defense industry projects and programs
  • Experience leading projects with technical and non-technical teams
  • Experience defining, documenting, and providing guidance on processes
  • Proven success working with all levels of management
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and executive strategic plans, manage budgets and drive results
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, MS project, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret clearance.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • MSE, MS in Mechanical/Mechatronic Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Computer Science, Math
  • PMP Certification

Position will report to the Chief Operating Officer. The position is on site and will require full time work week spent in the office. Normal hours are Monday through Thursday 7:00am-4:30pm and Friday 7:00am – 12:00pm. Some travel (up to 25%) is expected to be part of the regular duties for this position.


Physical Requirements:

· Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.

· Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
