I&E maintenance superintendent

Our client is a chemicals manufacturer that has a fantastic opportunity for an E&I Maintenance Superintendent with 6+ years of experience with a background in maintenance from the Refinery or Chemical Plant industries.

This opportunity will be a full time/ permanent position with an excellent overall compensation and benefits package including competitive base salary, annual bonus and excellent benefits. Relocation assistance will be provided if required.


Description:


Responsibilities:

- Lead I & E maintenance team, providing responsible and positive leadership.

- Manage critical instrument PMs via the Instrument Integrity Database.

- Oversee MOCs and Corrective Actions for timely completion.

- Ensure environmental compliance analyzers' maintenance and calibration.

- Coordinate Safety Instrumented System (SIS) testing.

- Maintain adherence to maintenance work management system and schedules.

- Implement Preventative/Predictive Maintenance Strategies.

- Communicate safety vision and guidelines for the I E group.

- Identify training and development opportunities for team members.

- Lead HR activities, including hiring, termination, and promotions.

- Collaborate with Procurement for procurement contract optimization.

- Perform the duties of the Weekend Emergency Manager.

- Maintain open communication with the I E Reliability Team.

- Employ cost control awareness and budget management.

- Ensure supervisors forecast weekly available work hours.

- Work on special projects as needed.

- Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

- Familiarity with industrial electrical codes and standards.

- Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline preferred.

- 6-10 years of I & E Maintenance experience in the petrochemical or related industry.

- Minimum of 3 years of I & E Leadership experience.

- Knowledge of Recognized and Generally Accepted Good Engineering Practices (RAGAGEP).

- Familiarity with Process Safety Management (PSM) principles.

- Experience maintaining Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS).

- Proficiency in industry standards (NFPA 70, NFPA 70B, etc.).

- Experience with process analyzers and CEMS

- Valid driver's license and TWIC card.

- Formal leadership training

- Experience in electrical power systems.

- Strong knowledge of instrumentation and control valves.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CMMS (Oracle or SAP).

- Effective oral and written communication skills in English.

- Ability to read and evaluate P&IDs, schematics, and instrument specifications.

- Knowledge of root cause analysis and troubleshooting preferred.
