Responsibilities:
The Senior Project Manager will lead the 3 PeopleSoft projects (Procurement, Absence Mgmt and Timekeeping) to implement clear, consistent and standardized processes for Client's wide implementation working with a PeopleSoft implementation partner. The Procurement project will provide real-time solution where one didn't exist before, as well as consolidate a matrix of tools with a more cost-effective contract and supplier mgmt. software that will integrate workstreams to increase efficiencies, reduce risk, improving reporting and solicitations. The Timekeeping project will provide the Client with a featured, modern timekeeping system. The Absence Management project will provide a real time system to track all types of leaves. These projects will be delivered within the framework of the Business Process Systems Integration (BPSI) program and the Project Manager will need to consider the linkages and interactions with the other systems and processes being developed by the program.
Requirements of the role:
- Drive planning, execution and tracking of all project deliverables.
- Develop and administer the project budget in collaboration with the program managers and project sponsors.
- Coordinate the work of internal and external participants, stakeholders, and consultants or vendors to ensure successful completion of the projects.
- Be responsible for managing the development and implementation of the project that require collaboration and coordination with various work units.
- Manage resources and schedules to successful completion ensuring that projects meet scope, cost and quality requirements as determined in the planning stages.
- Identify resources needed and assign responsibilities, negotiating with other departments and/or units for resources if necessary.
- Communicate with project sponsors, program manager, change manager and stakeholders in all stages of the project through regular written and verbal communications to keep them updated on the progress and aware of next steps; provide project updates in front of large groups, including Senior Management.
- Collaborate with the other BPSI project managers and BPSI Program manager to identify how the PeopleSoft projects will impact other projects.
Additional Skills:
- Project Management Professional (PMP)
- Demonstrated experience managing projects with cross-matrix or cross functional teams.
- Systems engineering project management methodology.
- Demonstrated experience working with ERP / PeopleSoft project where multiple modules will be implemented.
Ability to:
- Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Lead teams providing direction, delegation and removing obstacles to get work done. Build consensus and motivate people to act and participate.
- Build strong customer relationships and delivery of customer-centric solutions. Anticipate and balance the needs of multiple stakeholders.
- Develop and deliver multi-mode communications that concisely convey a clear understanding of the message to different audiences.
- Ability to handle conflict situations effectively with a minimum of noise.
