Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Business Data Analyst Lead to join our team. This individual will be an individual contributor, working alongside three senior analysts (principal data scientists). The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to communicate with various stakeholders and manage entire projects independently. This role involves handling projects across multiple teams and linking data across different markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Revenue Optimization: Comprehensive reporting for the entire enterprise, covering all business lines such as casinos, restaurants, golf, and spa services.
  • Power BI Reporting: Creating and managing dashboards (minimum 4 years of experience required).
  • Data Warehouse Management: Transitioning from on-premises to Azure Cloud (experience preferred).
  • SQL Proficiency: Essential for data management and analysis.
  • Programming Skills: Proficiency in Python or R.
  • Desk Queries: Handling complex queries efficiently.
  • Predictive Analytics & Machine Learning: Implementing advanced analytics techniques, including aggression clustering.
  • Ad Hoc Analysis: Conducting reinvestment and fuel optimization based on business needs.
  • Data Bricks & Azure Synapse Analytics: Experience with these tools is highly desirable.
  • Labor Optimization: Based on demand across various properties.
  • Ad-Hoc Analysis: Extensive data mining and analysis based on business needs.
  • Daily Performance Analysis: Evaluating daily performance and generating reports to identify areas of improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of six years of experience in data analytics, preferably in hospitality, casinos, or cruise lines.
  • Proficiency in SQL is a must.
  • Experience with Power BI (at least 4 years).
  • Ability to handle DAX queries.
  • Experience with Databricks or Azure Synapse Analytics.
  • Proven track record of managing projects across different teams or verticals.
  • Experience working with operations, revenue, and marketing teams.
  • Expertise in predictive analytics and machine learning, including natural language processing.

Data Sources:

  • Primarily internal data, with some external data such as weather and traffic data.
