Operations Manager – Freight Forwarding (Air & Ocean)
Altius Talent is partnering with a leading freight forwarding company in search of an experienced Operations Manager to oversee their air and ocean import and export operations. Based in West Houston, TX, this role is ideal for a results-driven leader with a strong background in project cargo, oil & gas logistics, and team management within the USA freight forwarding industry.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage air and ocean import/export operations, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and exceptional service delivery.
- Oversee project cargo and oil & gas logistics operations, ensuring the successful execution of complex shipments.
- Build and mentor a high-performing operations team, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Partner with internal departments, carriers, and clients to streamline processes and drive operational excellence.
- Maintain compliance with all relevant regulations and utilize industry best practices to enhance operational efficiency.
- Leverage platforms such as CargoWise to optimize workflows and maintain accurate data management.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in air and ocean freight operations, including import/export management.
- Proven track record in project cargo and oil & gas logistics.
- Experience leading and managing teams within the USA freight forwarding industry.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to drive results in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in CargoWise or similar logistics platforms is highly desirable.
