Logistics Coordinator

LHH is seeking a Logistics Specialist for a wonderful manufacturing company in Roswell, GA. This candidate will enhance our logistics operations through data analysis, freight audit, and effective communication. The ideal candidate will support the logistics team by ensuring data integrity and accuracy in freight invoicing, collaborating with various departments to optimize transportation efficiency, and resolving discrepancies to minimize costs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and authorize freight invoices, ensuring accuracy and validity while resolving any discrepancies through research and communication with suppliers and the accounts payable department.
- Collaborate with the Logistics Manager and Finance team on RBNI (Received But Not Invoiced) transactions to streamline processes.
- Serve as the first point of contact for operational issues, including delivery challenges, carrier no-shows, and freight documentation corrections.
- Analyze freight data to identify trends and recommend improvements for optimal carrier and equipment utilization.
- Assist the Data Integrity Coordinator with updates on freight rates and customer charges, ensuring compliance with company standards.
- Provide pricing support for internal teams, including Customer Service, Sales, and Marketing.
Skills and Attributes:
- Comprehensive knowledge of transportation modes (truck, rail, ocean).
- Strong multitasking capabilities in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Highly organized, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and spreadsheets.
- Understanding of transportation scheduling systems and their integration with ERP systems.
- Project management abilities and a proactive work ethic.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience in logistics or relevant fields; recent graduates with strong academic backgrounds will also be considered.
- Experience with SAP is preferred; training will be provided for candidates unfamiliar with the software.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce, Concur, and Workday is advantageous.
- Business casual dress code.
