Acquisition NexGen is currently in search of a Sr. Federal Contracts Manager for an Aviation & Aerospace Manufacturing Company in Crystal City, VA.


This is a Permanent/Full-Time role.


This position requires an Active Secret Security Clearance.


This is a Hybrid role that requires candidates to work Onsite in Crystal City, VA 3 days a week.


Position Summary & Responsibilities:


  • You must be able to effectively multitask, be proficient with Federal contracting, and demonstrate outstanding communication skills so that you can interface with all levels of internal and external customers.
  • The Contracts Manager will receive and process contracts; review and negotiate terms and conditions; advise management of contractual rights and obligations and mitigate contractual program risks; maintain contract files; work within a cross functional team to develop and submit proposals and administer contracts. This position interfaces with customers during contract pre-proposal, negotiation, administration, and closeout; serves as primary point of contact for resolution of customer issues; and develops and maintains customer relationships.
  • Reviewing RFPs, proposals and contractual documents for contractual requirements and risks, ensure proposed solutions meet customer requirements and meet company policies and standards.
  • Leading proposal and contract negotiations to achieve business objectives while ensuring customer needs are met.
  • Ensure strict adherence to FAR regulations and other applicable laws and regulations.
  • Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on FAR requirements and best practices.
  • Conduct FAR compliance reviews and audits.
  • Analyze and evaluate contract proposals to identify potential risks and benefits.
  • Prepare and review contract documents, including solicitations, proposals, awards, and modifications.
  • Negotiate and resolve contract disputes with government officials and contractors.


Requirements:


  • An Active Secret Security Clearance.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Law, Finance, or in a related field of study.
  • 10+ years of experience in Federal/DoD Contracts.
  • 8+ years of experience working with FAR, DFAR and other government regulations.
  • 8+ years of experience with multiple contract types (CPFF, FFP, FFP-LOE, T/M, OTA, etc.).
  • 8+ years of experience with generating and negotiating proposals and or contracts.
  • Knowledge of government contract audit and compliance requirements.


Preferred:


  • Certified Contract Manager (CCM) Certification.
  • Experience working on Aviation, Aerospace, Navy, Air Force and/or NASA Contracts.
  • Experience working on large-scale Engineering Contracts.
  • Program Management experience.
