TurnAround Factor, an engineering, R&D and manufacturing company based in Ashland, Virginia is seeking to fill a full-time administrative support role to assist with maintaining accounting, administrative, and project records. This position does not require an accounting background, but a basic understanding of accounting processes would be useful and careful attention to detail is required.


About the Role

Key tasks for this role include:

  • Tracking project financial progress / timelines and generating routine reports
  • Collecting electronic bills from suppliers and providing them to the bookkeeper
  • Auditing transactions in the accounting system to QC check entries
  • Payroll and reconciliation activities
  • Generating invoices and other required documents
  • Oversight of shipping and receiving activities at our warehouse

Responsibilities

This position is full-time and requires a mix of remote and on-site work at our warehouse headquarters in Ashland with flexible hours.


Pay Range & Compensation

Competitive pay commensurate with experience and qualifications. Salary range $17/hr to $25/hr. 4% 401(k) match available to all employees. Group healthcare, vision, and dental plans available to all part-time and full-time employees. Two weeks of paid time off are earned in the first year of employment and three weeks earned each year thereafter. Full time employees also receive paid federal holidays of which include 11 in total for 2025.


Required Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of related work experience or a 4-year degree
  • Demonstrated attention to detail
  • Experience using spreadsheets and formulas (Excel or Google Sheets). Things like INDEX, SUMIFS, SUMPRODUCT, and VLOOKUP should be easy for you
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Access to high speed internet for video calls


Ideal Qualifications

  • Experience using office and accounting software including: Google Sheets, Google Docs, and Google Drive (Google Workspace); Xero, HubDoc, ApprovalMax, Gusto, Wrike
  • Experience using Government platforms: Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment (PIEE), Wide Area Workflow (WAWF), HigherGov
  • Experience with DCAA-compliant accounting (Indirect Cost Accounting)
  • Experience working with technical personnel (engineers, software developers, machinists, etc.) is a significant plus
  • Experience using ChromeOS
