IT Support Specialist
We’re seeking an experienced IT support person to join our team. In this role, the support person will oversee IT systems and assets, assist with upgrades and fixes, and provide training and support as needed. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of computer hardware and software, network maintenance, EDI, and industry trends to keep us on the cutting edge. Engaging with employees throughout the company, the IT support person, will immediately impact the efficiency of our operations and overall growth.
Objectives of this role
- Handle business-critical IT tasks and system improvements
- Enable faster and smarter business processes and employee productivity
- Research and evaluate emerging technologies, hardware, and software
- Serve as the subject-matter expert supporting widely used software and applications
Responsibilities
- Observe system functions to verify correct system operation.
- Coordinates activities with the help desk, network services, or other information systems groups.
- Execute systems and network design, documentation, implementation, testing, and administration, and ensure components meet business needs and work together seamlessly
- Train employees in using systems, software, and hardware and provide technical support when needed
- Provide technical support to users, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
- Escalate ticketing issues and prioritize requests where necessary to ensure timely resolution.
- Maintain systems and applications, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements.
- Analyze existing processes to identify areas of improvement and recommend solutions.
- Develop functional specifications and assist in the creation of process maps.
- Customize and extend applications to meet business requirements, leveraging APIs and integrating with other systems as necessary.
- Conduct testing, debugging, and deployment of applications to ensure quality and reliability.
Required skills and qualifications
- 2-4 years in IT support, business analysis, or a similar role.
- Proven experience with low code development platforms (e.g., Power Apps)
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot IT issues and deliver effective support solutions.
- Deep knowledge of operating systems, current equipment and technologies, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, and system performance monitoring tools
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in low code/no code development tools.
- Strong understanding of business process mapping and requirements gathering.
- Familiarity with API integration and data management.
A Plus
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in computer science
- Project management experience
- Professional certification
- Experience in Databases, SAP Hana, Salesforce, IDOCS, EDI Integration, Shopify, and Power BI
Working hours:
This is full-time with standard working hours Monday through Friday from 7:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M with one day Hybrid.
