We're teaming up with a rapidly growing renewable energy company to find a Biogas Plant Operator for a state-of-the-art Renewable Natural Gas facility. You'll process organic resources to produce renewable natural gas using anaerobic digestion If you possess an electrical background and/or operations & maintenance experience, we would love to speak with you about this opportunity


Responsibilities

  • Monitor the operation of anaerobic digesters, gas purification systems, and other plant equipment to ensure proper functioning
  • Adjust and maintain process variables such as temperature, pressure, flow rate, and pH levels to maximize gas production
  • Operate various plant equipment and machinery, including pumps, valves, compressors, blowers, generators, etc.
  • Troubleshoot operational issues or malfunctions
  • Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with regulations
  • Monitor temperature, pressure, flow rates, and gas composition
  • Keep accurate records of O&M activities
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations
  • Respond promptly to emergencies, alarms, and abnormal conditions; mitigate risks and minimize downtime


Requirements

  • HS Diploma (or equivalent)
  • 3+ years of industrial electrical & mechanical experience
  • Intermediate to Journey-Level electrical experience
  • PLC experience is a PLUS
  • Knowledge of anaerobic digesters is a BIG PLUS
