Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of small projects that are electrical/controls in nature. Upgrading of obsolete controls to modern technology.
  • Perform system start-ups and operational checkouts on systems including configuration, wiring, calibration, grounding, and power testing.
  • Design, implement, and support DCS, PLC, HMI, and SCADA software for control systems and equipment
  • Participate on project teams in the development of control/instrumentation system specifications and support factory acceptance testing of new equipment systems.
  • Maintain the manufacturing plant's controls systems at “World Class” standards.
  • Install software updates with the latest versions.
  • Provide hardware and software application support assistance to maintenance and production.
  • Setup and configure replacement electronic and controls components to fit specific applications.
  • Work with others in the Engineering dept. to maintain the plant's process networks.
  • Update, modify, and continuously improve existing controls systems including ladder logic programs, relay logic, electrical distribution, motor controls, operator interface, hydraulics, and pneumatics distribution and control


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, or related engineering field along with min 8 years of experience in process control and automation in a similar role
  • A balanced engineering background from control systems development to managing legacy systems.
  • Experienced in Rockwell/Allen Bradley hardware is a must.
  • Experienced in Wonderware platforms is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Experience in power / NFPA70E would also be a plus.
  • Positive/motivated who works who works well in teams and independently.
  • Travel will be very limited.
