This position is a hybrid role based in Bethesda, MD (walking distance to the Bethesda Metro on the red line). Ideal candidates will be able to work in-office for one day/week, at minimum.

OVERVIEW
Collage Group is seeking a Content Marketing Manager to join our innovative and growing team in our mission to help organizations unleash the power of culture to drive brand growth at a time when America is undergoing a seismic cultural transformation. The Manager will be a leader in marketing content creation with a focus on SEO and lead generation; the primary manager of content on our external, marketing website; and a valued partner to insights, commercial and product teams.

THE ROLE
The Content Marketing Manager is responsible for developing high-impact, lead-generating content, including SEO-keyword centered website and blog content, whitepapers, social media posts, and more. The Manager will develop, implement, measure, and refine content marketing campaigns that accelerate lead generation and revenue growth for Collage Group’s syndicated, custom research and consulting solutions. Leveraging Collage Group’s syndicated insights and SMEs, his/her own expertise in content marketing and SEO, tracking of timely topics across the industry and data on top performing content, the Manager will lead content-driven marketing activation across numerous channels with a focus on the marketing website (WordPress) and social media (LinkedIn, X and YouTube).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Content Development: Proactively create, manage and execute a content-marketing calendar of SEO keyword-centered, B2B lead-generating web content, editorials, blogs, whitepapers, case studies, earned and paid content submissions, social media posts and graphics, and other materials, as needed. Ensure alignment of all external-facing content with brand mission and values.
  • Publishing: Publish content to the marketing website and social media. Optimize all content, meta tags, URLs, etc., for SEO using SEO-keyword tools (i.e., SERanking) and social media reach.
  • Marketing Automation: Optimize and manage automated content marketing tools (Marketo, Hootsuite, WordPress plugins, etc.) for member and prospect lead generation, including weekly prospect and member newsletters, social posts, and website personalization. Proactively recommend and implem-ent additional automations to enhance content marketing reach and personalization.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Collaborate across the marketing team, and closely with the Web Developer, to improve the overall functionality of the marketing site, including tagging/tracking of events, reduction of bounce rates, and increases in form fills, pageviews, time on site, organic search, and other key metrics.
  • Analysis: Leverage tracking tools (Google Analytics, Marketo and Salesforce), to contribute to end-to-end analyses of content marketing success and failures, rationale, revenue generation and ROI. Build out, refine, and sunset content marketing campaigns based on results.
  • Measurement and Reporting: Advise on best practices for measuring the impact of content marketing efforts. Create and maintain regular reports that include actionable metrics, such as number and quality of prospect leads generated, page visits, page conversions, page rank, social engagements and impressions, etc.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in marketing, communications or related field
  • 6 years of full-time experience in content marketing or related field
  • At least 5 years full-time experience in marketing automation technologies including Marketo, WordPress and Hootsuite (or equivalent)
  • A high aptitude for digital marketing and web tools, with strong technical and trouble-shooting instincts (Marketo, WordPress/Elementor and Google Analytics experience preferred)
  • Track record for exceptional end-to-end management of omnichannel content marketing campaigns
  • Self-starter who is comfortable with a fast-paced, change-friendly environment
  • Demonstrated lead-generating business writing and refined editing skills
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Demonstrated exceptional project and time-management skills, including the ability to handle multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines
