Overview
Our client is searching for an experienced and driven Sales Engineer to join their team in Houston, Texas, United States. This individual contributor role involves creating and executing comprehensive sales strategies for assigned clients and markets. The selected candidate will excel in organization and leadership, managing both internal and external efforts to meet business objectives. This position is pivotal in fostering and sustaining relationships with both current and potential clients in the industry, requiring a high level of autonomy and independent decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Primary Duties:
- 30%: Establish and nurture strong relationships with clients and partners within the assigned market.
- 45%: Spearhead the development of project opportunities and inquiries, maintaining an organized and strategic approach to a healthy project pipeline.
- 5%: Deliver compelling sales presentations to key clients alongside Sales Managers, Technical Sales, and Engineering teams, showcasing the company’s innovative technologies.
- 10%: Oversee and negotiate bid packages, contracts, and terms related to compressors.
Additional Duties:
- 5%: Support marketing activities by participating in trade shows, conferences, and other industry-related events.
- 5%: Keep abreast of market trends and competitor actions to inform and adjust market strategies as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree.
- 3-5 years of experience in Compressor Sales, or 5 years in Rotating/Static Machinery Sales.
- In-depth knowledge of the market and standard sales processes within the industry.
- Willingness to travel 25% to 50% of the time.
