Top 3 Responsibilities:

  • Engage, train, and ensure compliance with health & safety regulations for 100s of employees.
  • Report & investigate workplace injuries, follow up to ensure corrective actions are implemented.
  • Oversee & manage Workmen’s Comp. claims, monitor status & costs of active/open claims.


Experience:

  • Bachelor’s in Occupational Health & Safety – preferred
  • 1-3 years of experience in Health & Safety, ideally with experience in Environmental aspects
  • Must have at least a foundational understanding of OSHA and DOT regulations


Responsibilities

  • Ensure a safe and healthy work environment by managing risks, minimizing environmental impacts, and maintaining compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, including OSHA recordkeeping and ISO14001 standards.
  • Develop, implement, and audit safety and environmental programs and procedures, enforce safety rules, conduct safety inspections, and oversee employee health and wellness activities.
  • Lead the Safety Committee and Emergency Response Team, coordinate emergency response procedures and drills, and investigate accidents to implement corrective actions.
  • Monitor and report on health, safety, and environmental KPIs, manage the employee suggestion program, maintain Safety Data Sheets, and administer the housekeeping program.


Software Experience

  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required
