  • Develop and maintain a directory of local, regional, and national resources available to families affected by childhood cancer.

Program Development and Implementation:

  • Collaborate with the KCCA team to design and implement family and teen support programs and activities.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of programs and services, providing feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Create a minimum of two social posts each month (i.e., kiddo blogs, event highlights, milestone posts, newsletter content, and campaign content) to share Keaton’s Mission in Motion.
  • Assist in coordinating core family events, subprogram events, and general program opportunities.
  • Work under the direct supervision of and maintain consistent communication with Keaton’s Programs Director.

Community Outreach:

  • Represent KCCA at community events, health fairs, and other outreach activities to raise awareness about childhood cancer and available support services.
  • Build and maintain relationships with hospitals, clinics, and other organizations to enhance support networks for families and teens.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of family interactions, teen programs, and services provided.
  • Prepare regular reports on program activities, outcomes, and family feedback.

Keaton's Teen Alliance Coordination:

  • Develop and implement programs specifically for teenagers affected by cancer, addressing their unique emotional, social, and educational needs.
  • Facilitate support groups, workshops, and recreational activities for teens.
  • Create opportunities for teens to connect with peers who understand their experiences.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, child development, healthcare administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

  • Experience in program development and coordination, particularly with youth or teen programs.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Empathy, compassion, and a commitment to supporting families and teens in crisis.
  • Biliteral in Spanish or Russian preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Teams, and database management.
  • Commitment to working 36 hours per week.

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Willingness to travel locally for home visits, hospital meetings, and community outreach.
  • Flexibility to work evenings or weekends as needed.

Benefits:
