Position Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our logistics operations as the Director of Logistics. Reporting directly to the VP of Supply Chain, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of transportation, warehousing, and distribution activities. Your strategic vision and operational expertise will be instrumental in optimizing our supply chain network to meet the dynamic needs of our organization.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize the company's logistics operations, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Lead a team of logistics professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and mentorship to drive performance and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to streamline processes and enhance efficiency in transportation, inventory management, and warehouse operations.
  • Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers, carriers, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and materials while maintaining cost-effectiveness.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess logistics performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies to drive innovation and maintain competitiveness in the market.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in logistics management, preferably within the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading large-scale logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and systems, including ERP, WMS, TMS, and analytics tools.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards related to transportation and logistics.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across organizational levels.
