Your next strategic career move awaits: Jackson Physician Search is seeking a motivated Business Development Representative to learn about our industry by shadowing managers, calling prospective clients, and setting meetings for territory managers to present. A successful BDR will have the opportunity to manage a territory of their own through a clear career path to Business Development Manager and higher. We’re looking for a high-energy individual with a “hunter” mentality who thrives in a competitive yet collaborative work environment.


Essential Duties:

  • Proactively research and source potential new business leads via cold calling and emails
  • Schedule in-person meetings and present physician recruiting services to decision-makers (C-Suite)
  • Develop and maintain working relationships with current and prospective clients
  • Promote company services to existing and prospective accounts
  • Learn the business and marketplace of physician recruitment
  • Research and stay up to date with market and business trends in physician recruitment
  • Achieve daily and monthly metrics set for calls and meetings
  • Shadow territory managers on presentations to physician recruiting decision makers (C-Suite)
  • Become proficient in giving company presentations of services
  • 10-20% travel with territory managers within the Southwest region


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in sales required; 5+ years of sales experience without a bachelor’s degree required
  • 1-2 years of experience in healthcare staffing sales preferred
  • Proven success securing new business preferred
  • Strong organizational and computer skills required; Salesforce experience preferred
  • Excellent prospecting, cold calling, face-to-face presentations, and closing skills with the ability to produce results in a high-pressure, time-sensitive, and deadline-driven environment
  • Confident, energetic, and professional presence required: ability to effectively build relationships, overcome objections, and close business with C-Suite/Medical Professionals
  • Interpersonal, strategic communication, and relationship-building skills required
  • Ability to demonstrate judgment within defined procedures for best results
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, time management skills, and multi-tasking skills
  • Stable employment history with verifiable references
  • Valid driver’s license and no major driving violations
