Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Human Resources Manager in Chicago, Illinois, to help build, scale, and grow our organization. This role is ideal for an HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strategic mindset combined with the ability to execute. The HR Manager will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing people strategies that align with our company’s growth objectives, fostering a culture of excellence, and ensuring the organization is well-equipped to meet current and future challenges.


Key Responsibilities


  • Partner with senior leadership to define and execute the company’s human capital strategy.
  • Develop scalable HR systems and processes that support rapid organizational growth.
  • Drive initiatives that strengthen employee engagement and retention.
  • Lead the design and implementation of innovative recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
  • Build a robust talent pipeline and oversee workforce planning to meet future needs.
  • Develop and implement training programs to upskill employees and support career growth.
  • Collaborate with leadership to design and refine organizational structures, roles, and responsibilities.
  • Champion change management initiatives to ensure smooth transitions during scaling efforts.
  • Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion across all levels of the organization.
  • Cultivate a positive and inclusive workplace culture that aligns with company values.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to employees and managers, addressing concerns and resolving conflicts.
  • Implement and sustain initiatives that enhance employee satisfaction and workplace well-being.
  • Oversee the development of competitive compensation and benefits packages that attract and retain talent.
  • Regularly analyze market trends to ensure equitable and competitive pay structures.
  • Manage benefits administration, ensuring efficiency and employee satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including Chicago-specific regulations.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and prepare regular reports on HR metrics and progress.
  • Stay current with industry trends and legislative changes affecting HR practices.


Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive HR experience, including experience in high-growth organizations.
  • Previous experience in a leadership role with a focus on scaling businesses.
  • Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR) is highly desirable.

  • Proven ability to design and implement scalable HR systems and strategies.
  • Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative mindset.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Expertise in employee engagement, change management, and organizational development.

  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
