  • Set up new vendors in the Costpoint accounting system, validate subcontractor invoices to time records and contractual documents, and research discrepancies.
  • Review and code invoices into proper indirect cost accounts and pools and review for unallowable costs per FAR requirements.
  • Enter approved and coded invoices into Costpoint. Audit and enter employee expense and travel reimbursements.
  • Set up new contracts and formulas in Deltek Costpoint, assign labor categories and rates, billing codes, etc.
  • Help prepare client bills according to contract requirements.
  • Work with program managers to ensure the accuracy of time charges and funding availability for tasks charged and adjust as required.
  • Submit client bills.
  • Cash Receipts and Banking: Track A/R. Record cash disbursements and receipts.
  • Perform bank reconciliations.
  • Assist in producing the monthly reporting package and tracking indirect rates and backlog.
  • Create ad-hoc reports from Costpoint data.
  • Perform variance analysis on indirect charges - actuals vs budget in Costpoint.
  • Payroll: End-to-end payroll processing.
  • Contract Administration: All contract and subcontractor funding modifications. Track expenses against funding limits. Calculate and submit GSA IFF.


Requirements:

  • The qualified candidate must have 7+ years as a staff accountant, at least 5 of which must be in a government contracting environment.
  • BA/BS degree in accounting, business or related field. An AA in accounting may be considered depending on the years and type of experience.
  • Knowledge of working with T&M, cost plus, and fixed price contracts.
  • Experience with cost pool structures unique to federal procurement compliance and DCAA audit requirements.
  • Must have hands-on and extensive experience with Deltek Costpoint, including its payroll, time & expense, GL, billing, and A/P functions.
  • Knowledge of the FAR, applicable CAS standards, and GAAP.
  • Experience working on contract and subcontractor administration to include modifications and GSA contract awards.
  • Must have excellent Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
  • Must have excellent communication skills - oral and written.
