Quality Engineer

Responsibilities
- Researching automation techniques and testing new systems to optimize production
- Perform and review design failure mode and effects analysis (DFMEA) and process failure mode and effects analysis (PFMEA) to identify and assess design and manufacturing risks
- Conduct and review analyses of part production processes, schedules, methods, and other data to better understand future requirements needed for customers' manufacturing processes
- Provide technical advice for additive manufacturing projects around problem definition, analysis, requirements development, and implementation for complex systems or issues
- Assist with manufacturing preparation for additive manufacturing projects
- Contribute to technical execution of projects around focus areas of Industry 4.0 / Digital Factory / Model Based Enterprise / Advanced Manufacturing / Additive Manufacturing
- Perform accurate / professional documentation and presentation of technical data, analyses, and reports
- Review manufacturing instructions, methods, and processes to identify and improve customer efficiency
- Develop process strategy documentation outlining the technical and process changes and analyses
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering
- 2+ years related engineering experience
- Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines concurrently
- Expertise in GD&T
- Experience with assembly and testing of machined, forged/cast, or fabricated aerospace/automotive parts
- Experience with design for manufacturing, assembly, reliability, and cost
- Demonstrated time management skills
- Experience in editing and controlling PFMEAs and Control Plans
- Skills to communicate complex ideas effectively and work with business and technical stakeholders
- Excellent verbal communication, interpersonal, and influential skills
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with additive manufacturing processes
- Understanding of PPAP through PPAP Level 5
- LEAN, Six Sigma, or other process certifications
