Organization Overview:

KDA, a growing and innovative architecture firm, offers a supportive work environment with large-company tools and infrastructure. Our firm excels in exploring streamlined practices and integrating technology into workflows. We specialize in alternative delivery models, including design-build and public-private partnerships, to diversify revenue streams. Current projects are with public clients with a focus on higher education and science & technology. We currently have more than eight IDIQ and Term Contracts. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience from design development through construction administration.


Key Responsibilities:


Senior Project Architect / Project Manager:

  • Scope: Manage small to large-scale projects, guiding teams through the design and construction phases. Client interfacing during design and construction phases.
  • Project Management: Oversee all aspects of project delivery, including coordination of schedules, managing project budgets, monitoring risks, and ensuring timely delivery of project milestones.
  • Collaboration: Foster a diverse, collaborative culture, inspire confidence, and maintain client trust. Lead coordination among architects, engineers, consultants, and contractors.
  • Leadership: Lead project design and technical submissions, ensuring alignment with client expectations. Demonstrate strong design leadership skills to guide the creative direction of projects.
  • Project Monitoring: Oversee design and construction processes, maintain project schedules, control budgets, and ensure high-quality execution.
  • Expertise: Monitor adherence to building code regulations and sustainability standards like LEED.
  • Communication: Utilize strong communication skills to effectively engage with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
  • Technology Integration: Leverage strong technology skills, including proficiency in artificial intelligence tools, to optimize workflows and enhance project outcomes.


Credentials & Experience:

  • Experience: 10+ years in design and construction, 5+ years managing complex projects exceeding $50 million.
  • Education: Master's degree in Architecture; NCARB certification required.
  • Preferred Skills: BIM 360, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Smartsheet, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently.
