Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to support our Enterprise Transport Management (ETM) Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) process. The ideal candidate will have experience with DISA JSP and a strong background in network design, architecture, and implementation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) Management and Support
  • Analyze ECP requirements and develop a proposed technical solution that meets cost/schedule and ECP catalog requirements
  • Develop and execute ECPs such as customer specific projects, system upgrades, Transport Network Modernization and Optimization, Systems Transitions and Technology refreshment projects
  • Involved with the full ECP Execution process - project approach, project plans, Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), Work Breakdown structure (WBS), Engineering Installation Plans (EIPs), Circuit Installation Plans (CIPs) and supporting project design and planning documents and cost elements
  • Involved with ECP completion and closeout process
  • Prepare ECP updates and deliverables as required
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Engineering or Equivalent; Masters Degree Preferred
  • Active DOD Secret Clearance
  • 5+ years primary role operating, troubleshooting, installing network routers and switches
  • 5+ years primary role designing, architecting routed and switched networks
  • 2+ years as senior or lead engineer in planning, designing, and building software defined networks
  • 3+ years DoD environment; experience with DISA JSP preferred
  • IAT Level III in accordance with DoD M IAT Level III certification
  • One nationally recognized certification for senior network administrators/engineers/architects tied to the proposed solution's routers and switches
Preferred Qualifications
  • Outstanding mathematics and IT abilities
  • Configuring and installing various network devices and services
  • Monitoring network performance and resource utilization, trending, capacity planning
  • Use of current and emergent network design principles and protocols
  • Experience with network virtualization technologies
  • Experience with multi-tenant network architectures
  • Familiarity with a width variety network routing and switching equipment devices from multiple vendors
  • Scripting languages and coding for network threshold events
