Social Media Specialist

The Social Media Specialist will be responsible for the day-to-day oversight of the social media channels within Collection Center, Donor Services and other departments. Leads, creates and publishes social content to educate the public and grow the registry.   


 Responsibilities

·        Increase awareness of brand to targeted audiences

·        Develop Social editorial calendar, participate in any relevant brainstorming

·        Manage and optimize paid and organic campaigns in Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, and other common platforms

·        Write social post, ad copy and analyze its effectiveness through A/B testing

·        Keep the organization at the forefront of developments in social media channels

·        Cultivate new and existing communities and manage branded online communities on the company’s behalf using YouTube, Instagram, and other appropriate social media platforms

·        Publish daily social media posts to raise awareness and contribute to the growth of Recruitment, Donor Services and other departments

·        Develop social strategy and playbooks for assigned projects, integrating brand messaging, positioning, as well as Social best practices and insights

·        Ensure projects move from idea to publication and all assets are appropriately cataloged

·        Develop innovative media content across web for desktop and mobile

·        Maintain and grow the internal labeling process of all content to monitor the effectiveness of various content types and marketing messages

·        Analyze and interpret social media metrics and insights to optimize content

·        Evaluate targeted audience research, environment activity/conditions and competitor data

·        Gather and report weekly metrics providing an overview of the performance of each social platform, marketing/communication messages and ROI

·        Monitor online competitor presence/perceptions, research new blogs and channels for relevance/trend identification, report “chatter” and other relevant online data, and maintain posting schedules

·        Some travel may be required

·        Other duties as assigned

 



Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

·        An innovative thinker with 3-5 years of Social Media experience
